You can see from this gallery that I love jays and ravens. These birds are simply hilarious to watch. Most of these shots were taken on the local Vancouver mountains, where the birds are often humanized. Feeding from the hand, excellent close-ups can be obtained. Jays and ravens in the winter months cache food endlessly—they simply never stop as long as peanuts or seeds are being offered. Of course, this is a superb adaptation to a cold and snowy environment where food may go unavailable for long stretches.
