Chickadees

These little guys—common at feeders—should really be called “cheeky-dees” for their cute, impish antics. They’ve grown remarkably tame in places, often feeding right from the hand, which allowed for the close-ups you see here. Living in Vancouver, most of my shots feature the two resident species, Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees. I’ve also included a few Mountain Chickadees and my one precious photo of a Boreal Chickadee from Jasper National Park.
